About Carleton Schade
I have an M.S. in Geology, an M.S. in Educational Administration, studied under Michael Rampino at New York University’s then Applied Science Department, and have published in scientific journals including The Geological Society of America. Since 2002, I have been speaking on the topics of Wisdom and the Ecosystem Collapse in the New York City area in such venues as Poetry Science Talks, and The Old Stone House. Memberships include AAAS (American Association for the Advancement of Science), the New York Academy of Sciences, The Futurist Society, Poetry Science Talks and the Institute of Noetic Sciences. I am now writing a book entitled, Dieback: The Science and Soul of the Coming Collapse. My main body/mind/spiritual practices include Vipassana meditation, hatha yoga, walking on the beach and experiencing–with my wife, daughter and friends in Sag Harbor, New York–a deep gratitude for this heaven and hell we call earth .
